Data Messenger - Quick Start Guide

Accessing Data Messenger

  1. Access the Data Messenger widget by clicking on the speech bubble icon in the bottom right corner of your screen.

  2. The default/home tab screen will appear when you first click the icon to launch Data Messenger.

  3. On the left-hand side of the Data Messenger screen, you will see three tabs.

    1. The first tab is Data Messenger (default/home).   
    2. The second tab is Data Explorer.
    3. The third tab is Notifications.  

How to Query Your Data

  1. On the default/home tab, if you have an idea of what you’d like to ask, you can begin typing a natural language query in the Query Input Bar, located at the bottom of the screen.

  2. You can also use the Voice-To-Text function to search for any queries.
    Important Note: Voice-To-Text is only available in Chrome browsers.

  3. When you ask a query in Data Messenger, a data response will be returned to you. A range of additional tools/features are available to help you analyze and explore your data further. A toolbar in the top right corner and a range of available visualization options will be available for you to choose from.

Data Explorer Tab

  1. Navigate to the second tab (Data Explorer) to understand more about what queries you can ask and what information is in your data.

Notifications Tab

  1. The final tab available in Data Messenger is the Notifications tab. Here, you’ll find a feed that contains a list of all your Data Alert notifications.
