Data Alerts are triggered by conditions (data and data timeframes) you define. For example, you can define an Alert that notifies you when revenue, inventory, returns, etc. reaches or falls below a certain threshold.

Accessing the AutoQL Webapp 

  1. Go to the following website: https://webapp.chata.io/
  2. Enter your Application ID 
  3. Enter your login credentials

Setting up an Alert

  1. From Data Messenger or Dashboard Tile type in the query that you’d want to execute as a re-occurring Data Alert. Select the additional menu from the toolbar to create a Data Alert. 

Example Data Alerts

  1. Here are some example Alerts for the Chata.ai Demo data set:
    • Sales
      • Total online sales brand #452 air purifier today > 20000000 
      • Total brand #210 yogurt online sales this month in CA > 500 
      • Total online Bakery sales today > 444000 
      • Total online sales this week for meat > 6000000 
      • Total sales for brand #179 ale this week >1800 
      • Total sales in CA last month > 760000088
      • Total sales for the food category last month > 6000000
    • Inventory
      • Inventory on hand today for Brand #358 low fat milk at warehouse 2 < 200
      • Stock today for Brand #154 hot dogs at store49 greater than 180 
      • Total stock at store26 for brand #174 watch is over 37 today 
      • Total quantity of brand #68 sour cream in stock today for store26 less than 35 
      • Inventory last week for brand #180 air purifier < 3000
    • Returns
      • Average online returns for the day > 400 
      • Average in store returns last week > 300
  2. You will be prompted with a pop-up modal to configure the timing for when your alert with trigger.
    Note: Notification preferences do not control the timeframe of the data
  3. Include an optional message that will be included when the Alert triggers and the notification appears in your notification center.
    This message is great for providing context or notes about the Alert
    Conditions with amounts or currency don't support commas (,) or dollar sign ($) symbols
  4. Click “Finish & Save” to create your Alert
     Note: you’ll receive a confirmation message in the bottom left corner of the screen

Receiving Alerts

When the monitored data reaches the thresholds that you’ve set, you’ll receive an alert in your notification center (see instructions below on how to access it) depending on which notification preference you selected for the alert (every time, daily, weekly, or monthly).

  1. Click on the Bell icon in the top right corner to view your notification center and all the Alerts that met their conditions.
  2. Click on each Notification Tile to review the Alert query and result.
  3. Select the visualization option you wish to display your data in (on the left side of the data response you’ll see a list of visualization options available to you).

Managing Alerts

  1. If you need to edit, pause or delete an Alert, click on the Data Alerts tab on the home/default screen of AutoQL.
  2. You’ll receive a list of all the Custom Data Alerts you’ve created.
  3. To modify an Alert, hover over the Alert and select the gear icon to the left of the alert name.
  4. To turn off an Alert, click on the toggle to the left of the alert name (the toggle will turn grey when the Alert is off).
  5. To delete an Alert, hover over the Alert and select the trash can icon to the left of the alert name. 

Considerations

  • Alerts are only supported for queries with date/time measures
  • Alerts only work on refreshed data
  • Conditions with amounts or currency don't support commas (,) or dollar sign ($) symbols
